- 1 large egg
- 200 g (1 2/3 cups) all-purpose flour
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
- Zest of half a lemon (optional but recommended)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Grind the Earl Grey tea leaves into a fine powder using a blender, grinder, or mortar and pestle.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the egg, vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Mix until well combined.
- Stir in the flour, salt, and ground tea until a soft dough forms.
- Form small balls or flatten into discs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on a wire rack. Enjoy with your favorite cup of tea!
